Appearance: 

Anders is 6'4" tall, with long black hair and startlingly blue eyes. He is slender of build and has started to regain some of his former muscle tone after a long spell of illness and his two stays in Azkaban.  He is shy and unsure of himself, but a good hearted soul who would do anything for anybody in trouble.

Family Background: Born in the valleys of South Wales, Anders was raised by his Muggle parents - Astrid, a Swedish artist, and his father, Dafydd, a steel worker and latterly violent, abusive layabout. Anders' magical ability apparently took both of his parents by surprise, and his father - through means as yet undisclosed - made arrangements for the boy to attend Hogwarts.

Astrid died suddenly when Anders was 15, and he never truly got over her loss. When he left home at 18, he and his father rarely spoke, something which makes Anders feel guilty following his father's assumed death after a plane crash.

After events at Hogwarts last year, Anders discovered that Dafydd was not, in fact his real father at all, neither was he a Muggle.  Dafydd Grimalkin was a black wizard of the worst calibre who manipulated Anders throughout his life and who was ultimately the recipient of a Killing Curse which Anders managed to deflect, saving both his own life and that of Nimue Hawkwood.  It was later revealed that Anders’ true father is, in fact, Sirius Black. This relationship is still being developed and he periodically has difficulty accepting it.

Talents/Special Abilities: 

Anders was a surprisingly good Quidditch player, and played Seeker for the Slytherin team. His successful trials at 18 years old for the Cardiff Chargers led to him being signed on for the Wales national side. He only played in two international matches before tragedy struck, however.

His other talent is for illusion. Anders can create magical landscapes out of thin air, weaving intricate little details into them. This artistic side of him is inherited directly from his artist mother.

Pet: Kitten given him by his half-sister Kat, going by the name of Wilbur.

Other Information: 

Anders was imprisoned in Azkaban following an accident during the Wales/Norway international match, when he apparently caused the deliberate death of the Norwegian Beater, Olaf Peterssen. He was held in Azkaban awaiting trial for eight months and it seemed to the public at large that he would not leave. However, he was found not guilty of the crime of murder, and was granted a conditional release.  This charge has since been fully overturned, his innocence proved, and his freedom finally granted.

He is studying to work alongside Dmitri Georgious, the wizarding defence lawyer who ultimately contributed to his successful efforts to prove his innocence.  He is also taking further studies with Dumbledore, teaching the Quidditch team…and frequently forgetting things like ‘food’ and ‘sleep’ somewhere along the way.

He is madly and totally in love with Nimue Hawkwood and has recently been granted formal permission to court her.  Right now though, it might be that the only thing he’s courting with such blind over-extension is disaster.
