Other Information: Left for a month's holiday by special arrangement during autumn term and didn't return. However, when she did return after Easter she advised her friend Morticia Lagrand of the strange circumstances of her holiday.
"Well, it was only supposed to be for a month, but something really weird
happened!! We were walking around in some weird muggle town that
I have never heard of, and there was something really creepy about that place.
When we tried to find our way out of the town, there was no
way to get out!! My parents and my Aunt and cousin all tried to use magic to
get us out of there, but nothing worked! It was like they were
demagnetized or something, and every time they tried get us out of there, they
said they felt a weird burning at the tips of their fingers,
and had to stop trying. So we had to stay in the town for five months, and I
guess the muggles were all too stupid to notice the same
people walking around town every day. We finally got out!! We woke up one
morning and, poof, we were back at my aunt and cousin's house in
France! I am still trying to figure out what in the world happened. They can
all do magic again perfectly. I think there is something very
strange about that town and I am never going there again!"
Nothing much has been heard of Arivel since her return. It is assumed she may be studying hard to catch up.
