Appearance: Very tall for his age, less than an inch under six feet.
Extremely skinny--he gives the impression of being skin, bones, knees, and elbows, and precious little else. Very fine, very messy, almost-white blond hair. Pale blue eyes, slightly overlarge nose, and weak chin.
Family Background: Only son of Mr. Ollivander the wandmaker. His mother is
a Squib, and we have seen that he doesn't get along well with her. He had two older sisters, one of whom was an Auror and was killed. Her daughter is three years younger than David. His other sister, Twyla, is three years
older.
Talents/Special Abilities: David has an amazing memory, much like his
father, but he remembers more interesting things than wands.
Pet: An owl, but not really a pet...she isn't named.
Wand: Not advised but would be an Ollivander wand.
Other Information: David is voraciously curious about anything and
everything Muggle, particularly electronics. More than one Muggle-born student has mistaken his excited interrogation about the Muggle world for teasing or insults, but anyone who knows him well knows that David is
absolutely void of malice.
David does fairly well in classes, since he can remember the material after reading it only once, but he pays much more attention to his Muggle Studies class than any other. His area of the
dormitory is taken up with broken electronics that David has been taking apart to figure out how they work, and with inferior wands that have a tendency to explode when performing difficult spells. He stutters when
he’s nervous, which has earned him the nickname (from the Slytherins, who else?of D-D-David.
