Appearance: Japanese. Petite, 4 feet 11 inches with dark brown eyes and striaght black hair reaching down to her hips that she often wear up. Her complexion is reddish-bronzed. Her stomach bears scars from where she has cut herself to create the Chishio draught. Silent and brooding, coming across as almost aloof. But she is very brave and very strong.

Family Background: One of the few Orientals at Hogwarts, Shinrei was initially trained at Japan by a magical order called Clan Kossawa (similar to Hogwarts, but this is more dojo-like, and much more STRICT) that existed in a small seaside settlement at the island of Honshu. Her sensei/teacher, Kanjou, who is known to Albus Dumbledore, appears to have raised her from early childhood.

More of her background will come to light in the future. Kanjou has embarked on a quest and thus sent her to Hogwarts for her protection as well as for training.

Talents/Special Abilities: Aside from purely magical skills, Shinrei is also very well trained in the martial arts, especially in the Ninja art, and could channel her energy projections without using the wand. Her favorite attack is an energy projection called Shuriken-ha, or dart energy--which manifests itself in the form of razor-sharp solid light. Being so athletic, she is very good at Quidditch and some other Muggle sports.

Pet: A black owl named "Makura"

Other Information: She has a Rakurai, Japanese for "Thunderbolt" which is a Japanese version of the famous "Firebolt" broom.

Shinrei appears somewhat sickly and needs to drink a special Chishio draught every few hours. She has not disclosed this to the Headmaster and thus is having to brew the potion secretly. Her desire to remain undetected have already caused some suspicion.

She describes herself as having no sense of humour. However, she is starting to be drawn out through freindships with some of the other students at the school such as Jon Sinclair.
