Morticia Lagrand

Name: Morticia Lagrand

House Affiliation: Slytherin

Current Age: 14/4th Year

Birthday: May 5

Appearance: A pale-faced skinny girl with deeply black hair which is slowly starting to grow longer again after Tish had cut it down in a moment of bad temper. Her eyes are grey and often look tired when she's been reading most of the night again...

Family Background: Family background: Morticia's father Hades Lagrand is Ambassador to the French Ministry of Magic and went to Beauxbatons. Her mother Elaine (born Elaine Wandwood, the wandwoods being a very old wizarding family) was a Ravenclaw. The family now lives in England, but the 7 children grew up bilingual with French and English.

Morticia's grandmother (her father's mother) was a famous seer and worked for newspapers. She also published some books. She was one of the few people who actually could predict things to happen with a lot of certainty. It seems Morticia has inherited this gift.

Morticia has a twin called Morgaine who is in Beauxbatons. The two girls keep in close contact through owl post and at times Tish really misses her sister a lot.

Talents/Special Abilities: Morticia sometimes has weird dreams which tell the future. She's very interested in everything concerning Divination, but wouldn't mind ending up a national Quidditch player as well!

Pet: Glueclaws the weird. Bought by her parents, the cat immediately disliked Morticia (and most other human beings). During the magical battle at the Yule Ball he was hit by a lot of straying magic and now occasionally speaks, which confuses both him and the people standing by.

Wand: 11" mahogany with unicorn mane hair, suited for charm work

Other Information:Morticia wants to be independent, her father is a very dominant type though and makes it difficult for her to get her decisions done. The fact that her older brother Nathan has transferred from Beauxbatons doesn't help her much, either. She's a very hard worker and determined to achieve her goals, though.
