Well, here I am again with another batch of transcripts whittled down to their bare essentials by the infamous Sarah T!. Why am I landed with this task? Basically because of the equally infamous 'Sarah spin' on student life at HP-Hogwarts Role-Play E-Group.
At last count there were over 1500 printed out pages of the transcriptions which is a lot of reading though naturally yours truly knows them pretty well by now and it can be useful to look back sometimes. The synopsis should aid that process.
Again I'll remind you that resources such as this are there to give new players a feel for the larger story. The most recent transcript and messages after that on the Yahoo Groups page will bring you up to date with the current plots that are ongoing. In addition there is also an update page which can help you orient yourself. These resources are also useful for ongoing players and those returning after a break.
Remember that there are as many stories in Hogwarts as there are students and these transcripts represent the lives of a few students at the school. As they are quite current, these transcripts tend to be covered in more detail than the very early ones. They tend to be longer as well.
Again I consider that my task is to pick up on the highlights in each transcript and not relate every interaction or event. You will find under Characters page on the web site the individual backgrounds of player characters. Some players who are part of the transcripts are no longer with us and a few of these also have short profiles on the character page. Please note that as in the first Synopsis the numbers in parenthesis on the index below are the consecutive page numbers covered by each transcript.

The transcript picks up the events of that same morning covered in Transcript 27.
Despite her desire to follow the Headmaster, Shinrei is taken by Professor McGonagall instead to Gryffindor Tower where she is placed into the trusty hands of Jonathan Sinclair, Fifth Year prefect. Rather than gazing soulfully into her dark eyes (yeah I'm talking to you Verga!) Jon shows her around Gryffindor and takes her up to the dormitory where the Third Year girls are based. He is very curious about her background and asks a lot of questions.
Meanwhile Professor Snape returns to Hogwarts with the unconscious Nimue Hawkwood and hands her over to Madame Pomfrey with his usual sensitivity. I happen to be there at the time and go off to report on what I overheard to other kids. I run into Niki, Nathan, and Drake and fill them in on stuff.
Meanwhile, with Anders carted off to Azkaban the rest of the party head back to the school. Branwen still in her raven form checks out the scene of the crime. Then Randal in wolf form appears in the clearing and chases the ravens managing to catch one of them and killing it. This upsets Branwen no end. Back in Hogwarts Arcadia is looking very pleased with herself. What's she been up to?
On the way back Sirius Black tells Dumbledore about his discovery that Anders was his son. He then takes Kat Black aside to explain his remarks to her in the woods. He reveals that he is also Sothis Black, her Dad, who was cunningly disguised before this with blond hair and glasses! He tells her about Anders being her half-brother as well and the reasons for his assumption of a secret identity.
Breana also returns to Hogwarts pretty upset about the encounter with her brothers and comes down the hall with a tear-stained face, where she meets up with those of us talking about the situation. Nathan and Drake have moved off in search of Snape. I try to cheer her up and then we are joined by Branwen. Niki goes off as all the talk about dementors was downing her out.
Snape returns to his office and begins his investigations and Edryd hoping to say goodbye to Morticia gets invited for tea at Slytherin House Common Room.
Yvette, Madison and Hal are still in Hogsmeade. Hal faints away at the thought of being beaten up by Breana's big brothers and Yvette tries to revive him by throwing a butterbeer over him! Hal was a tad upset and went outside followed by Madison. The two of them ended up shopping together while Yvette returned to Hogwarts feeling a little fazed by what she had done. Maddie and Hal become quite close during the shopping trip.
Yvette returns to Gryffindor and greets Shinrei and teases Jon about his being in the Girls' Dorm. Jon leaves and engages Dylan in conversation about the new student while Yvette talks with Shinrei.
Marvo arrives in the Hospital Wing with the body of the dead wizard from the woods. He's all a gog over the possibility that Kat is Sirius Black's daughter though neither of them has said anything to him as yet about it being true. I join them in the Hospital Wing and we all have a think about how contact might be made with Nimue even though she's unconscious. The most obvious thing to do was a 'borrowing' type of link that she and Kat had shared last year.
Once back at the Castle Dumbledore had 'swung into action' with respect to writing to the Ministry. Meanwhile the rumours about Anders reach Jon and Dylan and they both are quite upset. Then Prof. McG turns up with Sirius Black to search through Nimue's things and Prof. McG tells the boys what has happened being quite candid with them that she and the others believe Anders innocent and was only defending Nimue. However, the hard part is proving that to the Ministry.
Sirius creates quite a stir in the Girls' Dorm, as he is one of the people Shinrei's master hoped to meet. Sirius finds Nimue's diary and notes and takes them. Yvette expresses her belief that Anders would never hurt Nimue as he loved her and she felt the same. Guess Nimue's little secret was one that those close to her knew about without telling.
Snape joins the party in the Hospital Wing as does Fiona who manages to find in her vast collection of Anders' memorabilia a notice about his father's death in an aeroplane and a picture of Dafydd Grimalkin! Hurrah the dead wizard is now identified positively. Even Nathan and Drake turn up in the Wing. Then Snape kicks us all about except Kat and Marvo so that the 'borrowing' can be done.
Back in the woods Randal is able to change back to human form. He and Branwen meet up and have a fight about what happened with 'Norman' her raven pal, about Branwen's compulsive flirting and the like. They both are pretty upset afterwards but go off in opposite directions.
In Azkaban things don't look to rosy for Anders as Morgan decides he will be submitted to the Dementors' Kiss in five days. Morgan questions him and his sanity. Morgan is really mean to Anders taunting him a lot.
In Hogwarts Kat does her borrowing and enters Nimue's mind. In there she finds a dryad (strange!) and that Nimue has locked herself away in a tower and is standing gazing out to the distance towards Azkaban. Nimue refuses to return because in there she can mind link with Anders. Kat is unable to persuade her otherwise and Nimue sends her back to the waking world.
Kat tells Professor Snape and Marvo about the things Nimue has told her. Snape finds that his beliefs about Anders are swiftly changing and he is now looking at the past with a different perspective. The transcript ends with his admission that the things Kat has discovered may well help them to prove that Anders is not guilty.
Transcript 29 - Searches, Reunions and Unusual Tales (1264-1331) Top of the Index
Continues the same day as Transcript 28 and the investigations continue. We find out a lot more about Shinrei's master and lots of visits to the Hospital Wing to see Nimue.
Shinrei is very keen to find the Headmaster and allows Yvette to be her guide and get a little lost. The two girls run into me and I agree to go with them.
Madison and Hal return to Hogwarts and Ed and Morticia make plans for summer. They seem to like each other!
Nimue's father Lord Hawkwood arrives and is met by Dumbledore. They join Snape, Kat and Marvo in the Hospital Wing. Sirius also goes to Anders' office and finds further clues and then joins the party in the Hospital Wing. They all eventually head off to the Headmaster's office for a chat including Kat and Marvo (lucky!) leaving only Marcus Falconer there making sure that Nimue isn't disturbed. Shinrei, Yvette and myself arrive soon afterwards and talk with Marcus - who is being all noble and the like over his having let Nimue down. I give him a hug! Hearing that the Headmaster is probably now headed towards the Great Hall, the three of us troop off in that direction.
Lord Hawkwood and Snape take a sketch of a tattoo they have found on the back of Dafydd's neck to Professor Kacirk. He thinks it might be a clan mark and shows them stuff. They take this info to the Headmasters office and share their evidence to date with each other. Plans are made for a number of folk to travel to London. Sirius announces his intention to try to see Anders at Azkaban after lunch.
Dumbledore enters the Great Hall and shocks Hal by his remarks. That old wizard seems to know just about everything that goes on! At lunch Kat tells Marvo about Sirius being Sothis and Anders being her half-brother. Marvo sputters a lot. Dumbledore makes his announcement about Nimue having been attacked by a dark wizard, Anders saving her and his being taken into temporary custody due to the conditions of his earlier conditional release from Azkaban.
There is some discussion at the tables among the students about this, sadness also that exams will be going ahead anyway and about the arrival of Shinrei. Shinrei at the Gryffindor table expresses her need to talk with the Headmaster soon.
We then go inside Nimue's mind as she and Anders make a mind-to-mind link. On that spiritual plane (or wherever - metaphysics is not my strong subject) he seeks to convince her to return to waking consciousness. She is unable to argue with him and is compelled to return. She wakes up and starts to cry because now Anders is alone.
Creating a bit of a stir in the Great Hall cause he's a near-legendary figure, Sirius leaves for Azkaban and Hawkwood and the Headmaster head back to the Hospital Wing. Dumbledore stops on the way and indicates to the Lagrands that they will be leaving early at their parents' request and suggests to Drake he speaks with him about becoming a teaching assistant for Muggle Studies (as he's muggle-born).
With the Headmaster 'on the move', Shinrei decides to follow having Jon Sinclair as her guide. Marvo seems a little taken with the new girl. He's into all that Ninja stuff. Marvo irritates Jon and vice versa.
Niki goes outside and plucks petals off a daisy in that time honoured test for if he loves you. Wonder who she's checking out. Hal joins her and they talk about how he is settling in - his concerns about Slytherin and the like.
Randal returns in human form and seeks out Branwen. They arrange to meet later to talk things through later in the afternoon. Branwen takes to the air for a flight and while in the woods makes two interesting discoveries. She finds a gold pendant caught in the branches of a bush. She retrieves it and then she puts on once she has transformed to human form. She also finds the little wooden bird that belonged to Nimue. Knowing she'd never find Dumbledore's office she also headed for the Infirmary.
Meanwhile, discovering Nimue was awake - even if miserable - Marcus comforts her while Madame Pomfrey fusses. Her Father and Dumbledore arrive. Dumbledore has a brief talk with Hawkwood about Anders now having to leave his job now things have come to light with Nimue.
Jon and Shinrei encounter Branwen and the two girls continue together to the Hospital Wing. The Headmaster first wishes to speak with Branwen after she returns the wooden hawk to him. Shinrei talks with Lord Hawkwood and visits with Nimue. Dumbledore takes Branwen a little distance away and shows her the body of the dead wizard, asking her opinion on the clan mark. She asks is she can write her family and he agrees. She also ends up telling him about her ability to shift to raven form and he isn't that surprised and advises her that it best to remain discreet. Branwen also has a bit of a funny turn - perhaps brought on by her sensitivity to the dead wizard, perhaps something else. She also has a visit with Nimue.
Nathan wanders around and encounters Arcadia brewing something that turns out to be a truth potion. Just a stock item or likely to find its way into someone/everyone's drinks at some point? Arcadia suggests he visits her over the summer and Nathan is a little non-committal. He appears keener on securing an invitation from Niki. Drake interrupts with his usual style. He doesn't appear to like the attention Nathan gives to the ladies - he always passes comment.
In the library Alpha Rich tells Kat about her cat having been aware of going-on in the woods and that she was waiting for Dumbledore to talk with her about it. Kat finds she isn't in the mood to study and suggests to Alpha they go to Infirmary to see if there is any news. Branwen meets up with Dylan and tells him about Nimue being awake. They decide to also go and see how she is. Branwen shares Dumbledore's insight that Dylan is likely to regain his sight in time for the Potions exam.
Sirius arrives in Azkaban and insists on seeing Anders. At first it is not believed that he is his father but Sirius asks for a blood test which proves it. Reluctantly Minister Morgan allows Sirius to see Anders. Meanwhile Fudge gets letters from Dumbledore and someone else (Randal?) - he writes to Morgan instructing him to arrange a closed hearing as soon as possible.
Sirius has his meeting with Anders and tells him what he can of situation back at school. He also tries to tell Anders that he didn't kill his father because Dafydd was his stepfather and that Sirius himself was his real one. However, Anders doesn't seem to take this in being in a rather bad way surrounded by dementors and things. Sirius is furious at Morgan and demands his son is moved away from the dementors. Morgan refuses. Sirius leaves and heads to London to secure rooms for those who will attend the trial.
Back at Hogwarts Shinrei catches up at last with the Headmaster and asks to speak with him about Master Kanjou. He agrees and asks that Lord Hawkwood and Marvo also attend. Once behind closed doors Shinrei expresses her concern that her apparating into Hogwarts allowed the dark wizard access to then attack Nimue. Dumbledore explains that Dayfdd Grimalkin had not needed such an opening having been stalking Anders and Nimue for some time.
Shinrei then reveals the nature of Kanjou's quest to seek out and destroy Lord Voldemort whom he has heard is in Siberia with his followers. Dumbledore considers her news but says it is very unlikely to be Voldemort more likely a new threat of some kind which Kanjou an 'old battle horse' has mistaken for some reason. Lord Hawkwood asks her about Kanjou's desire to recruit animagi and Shinrei reveals that her master has been experimenting with a higher level of shapeshifting which allows the animal powers to manifest within the human form of the wizard. Hearing from her that these experiments are not sanctioned by the Japanese Ministry of Magic, there is obviously concern that Kanjou has become a rogue wizard operating outside the rules laid down by Inter national Wizarding Community.
There is obvious concern among the men that Kanjou has strayed to the practice of the Dark Arts with his experiments. It appears obvious to us as observers, even if not to those present that Shinrei may well have also been a focus of her master's experiments. There is some discussion about arrangements for Shinrei in the coming year. Dumbledore advises that at Hogwarts things are somewhat different than she is used to and that fun is also a part of their curriculum.
At the end of the meeting, Dumbledore receives notice that Anders' trial is set for Monday. Before leaving for Gryffindor Shinrei is away that she is bleeding behind the ear and needs to take her potion - called Chishio to control this. She takes leave of Marvo allowing him to return to Office where plans have been made in light of the notice.
Alpha and Kat reach the Infirmary and are delighted to find Nimue awake. While Kat and Nimue talk, Alpha is taken by Professor McGonagall who 'interviews' Miss Ezzy in her animagus form. Alpha's cat fills her in on what she perceived in the forest - adding to the evidence. Branwen arrives with Dylan and then leaves in order to meet up with Randal. Dylan, Kat and Nimue talk about various things including Shinrei's arrival. Marcus interrupts telling them the trial is set and that now Nimue is awake she will be going to London with them.
Branwen has her meeting with Randal by the lake and they sort things out between them. He tells her of the way Arcadia ruined things between he and Elia that is why he has kept things so secret between them. They kiss and stuff. However, Branwen has another funny turn as she does so becoming horrified at kissing Randal but it passes.
Transcript 30 - The First Day of Exams (1332-1392) Top of the Document
New faces! New Slytherin girl Oriana Nort arrives and is met by your truly and Morticia. Another new arrival Magnus Prytz brushes his hair and makes his way into the Great Hall. He is met by David Ollivander whom mentally he knocks as 'no competition'. Tut-tut!
Magnus is quite charming but also appears very cocky. He gets Jon Sinclair's back up almost immediately because of the way in which he arrived and all. Arcadia arrives in the hall and makes an impression with Magnus. She doesn't look at him though, Pan does and Magnus feels as though he is being snubbed and decides to do something about it.
At the Slytherin table Oriana meets her classmates: Arcadia and Niki. She gets a note from Magnus asking her to meet him near the transfiguration classroom. She is thrilled!
Branwen is till having problems sleeping and the like and still having 'funny turns'. Talking with David and Jacob about exams. Jacob asks whether Branwen might be able to take his trunk over the summer as his things tend to be destroyed by the muggle kids at the orphanage where he lives out of term. She agrees and also invites him to stay for a time with her family.
The Daily Prophet arrives with an article on the inside about Bran's grandmother who writes 'racy adult fiction'. This proves a great source of embarrassment to Branwen and her cousin Hal. She gets a note from Randal but us rather upset he is not there to help her through this. Katia joins the Slytherin table and is unkind to people - as usual.
Before classes Shinrei is looking around the castle for a suitable place to brew her potion. She is very sick and this is the only thing that will help her. I bump into her on one of my dungeon jaunts. However, the exam is due to start and so have to rush off!
Professor McGonagall gets everyone to line up outside the classroom. Oriana turns up and is joined by Magnus. He is happy to see Arcadia is at the back of the queue. McGonagall calls each student in my turn to do the frog into teacup transfiguration spell, quite wisely changing the requirements for each student. We all do this in turn and then make our way to the library etc.
It appears Dylan has the most difficult time though because of his blindness McG gives him a special task to do. Afterwards he meets up with Branwen and after introductions to the scheming Magnus and Oriana the two of the head outdoors until their next exam. Hal is out there as well sunbathing. I spot them from the library where Kat and I are studying for the next exam in History of Magic.
After her exam Shinrei continues her interrupted exploration and this time is caught by Alpha near the Slytherin Common Room and is shooed off. She stops to drink her potion and is promptly fallen over by Niki. Alpha comes upon them and Niki leaves for the library while Shinrei gives Alpha some vitamins to help her nerves.
Finally Arcadia is called for her exam and Prof. McG insists Pantalaimon remains outside. Arcadia is upset but has to comply which gives Magnus the opening he is looking for. He gets Oriana to distract Pan while he gets behind the wolf cub and performs a transfiguration spell that turns the wolf into a sheep! He then ties a ribbon around Pan's neck with a 'calling card' explaining that the spell will wear off but if she asks him nicely he'll turn him back. Then he and Oriana take off. Of course, he had no idea that Pan and Arcadia are joined at the hip so to speak. Oriana is not happy about what has happened and confronts Magnus who considers her stupid. She walks off.
In the classroom, Arcadia falls over and has to be revived by McGonagall. Her hair has turned all white and woolly and her demeanour has changed as well. Outside the classroom Prof. McG finds the changed Pan and finds it hard not to laugh. She takes Arcadia to the Infirmary and before leaving her in care of Madame Pomfrey. She retrieves the note and goes in search of Magnus.
Oriana remains upset but soon decides to find Magnus again to kiss and make up. Little Fiona comes across them and is rather smitten with Magnus. Upset to see him about to kiss Oriana she runs off. Meanwhile Prof. McG had found Magnus and Oriana and dismissed her and asks Magnus to follow her to her office. Oriana still feels slighted and does a quick spell that tears Magnus' trousers.
Jacob who is wandering looking for David sees Fiona run by and sees her in a new light. David encourages him to talk with her, which he then does. She is amazed at her new found confidence in talking with a boy and asks him to take a walk with her. You go girl!
Outside Niki is a little perturbed to see that Dylan and Branwen are together. They are talking quite intimately and then Dylan kisses her! She'd forgotten to tell him that she and Randal were back together, so it's a bit embarrassing. Both are concerned this might ruin their friendship. Niki notes that there is quite a lot of closeness between Bran and Dylan and decides to leave.
Arcadia leaves the Infirmary and immediately goes to write a 'oh poor me' letter to her father telling him about what has happened to her and Pan and blaming Professor McGonagall. Meanwhile, Prof. McG has taken Magnus to her office and asks him about what happened. She knows she should tell him off but finds it hard to in the circumstances. She suggests he apologises and offers to turn Pan back into a wolf.
Oriana enters the Common Room where Kat and I are having tea between exams. Oriana tells us about what happened with Arcadia and how Magnus used her. She tells us about the way she ripped his trousers out. Kat makes a remark about how she obviously belongs in Slytherin to which Oriana takes offence and goes off.
Kat immediately feels bad and the two of us go off to investigate her story and catch up to her. Kat accidentally bumps into Magnus and they fall over. As he gets up he realises there is a draft and that he must have split his trousers. Kat tells him what Oriana has done and offers to mend his trousers. She seems a little taken with him! Kat does a magic sew thing and she and I have a nice treat while its being done! He's not used to such bold girls as us when we tell him we think he has a 'nice bum'.
Oriana decides to come clean with Arcadia and blabs… I mean advises her of Magnus part in Pan's transfiguration. Arcadia is not a happy bunny - or rather shepherdess (maybe a were-sheep?) Inside Arcadia is thinking very bad things but on the outside she is doing daft things like skipping. Oriana wonders if Magnus still likes her. How can I break this to you - he's a user!
Magnus escorts Kat and me to HoM exam, one on each arm the smooth thing. We run into Oriana again and Kat tries to be diplomatic with her! She comes along with us to the exam trailing behind. Kat also seems quite smitten with Magnus. I leave her too it!
Outside HoM exam Niki sees Arcadia skipping by and sees she is 'different' and asks her what happened. The enduring image of this transcript is Arcadia's description of Magnus as a 'bad boy'. I come along and rescue Niki before she puts her foot in it with too many sheep jokes. It's so tempting though isn't it - even if you know that Arcadia is plotting all of our grisly deaths in her head.
Shinrei turns up and seeing Pan in sheep form gets all self-righteous and decides to try to turn him back. Try being the operative word. She gets blasted backward for her trouble and starts bleeding from her eyelids - all together now: Eeeewwww! (Not a Baa-rcadia joke!)
Bran also has another funny turn just before Madame Pomfrey arrives having been summoned to see to Shinrei. Niki is a bit upset that Dylan and Branwen are arm-in-arm but hey he's still blind he needs a seeing-eye person especially as Nimue is in London.
Pomfrey arrives and thanks Kat for her prompt first aid on Shinrei. I mention to her that just before she passed out she said 'I need the Chishio'. Madame Pomfrey finds the flask of potion in Shinrei's robes and sniffs it. She gives her a few drops and certainly feels there is more wrong than a simple spell backfire (of which she has no doubt seen zillions!) She takes Shinrei off with her while we all go into the exam.
On the way to the Infirmary, Shinrei comes around and having asked Madame P for her flask back which she claims is only a 'supplement' hops off the stretcher and heads back to the exam. What an eager beaver!
Various students' thoughts at the exiting prospect of the HoM exam are accounted like Branwen taking a nap! We get some insight into Magnus' background discovering that he was raised by a hermit and then taken into the care of the Swedish MoM. They found him a bit of a handful and he was finding the more cautious civilised life of books and rules somewhat of a change!

Transcript 31 - The Trial of Anders Grimalkin (1393-1445) Top of the Index
The short version: Anders is tried in London for the murder of Dayfdd Grimalkin, breaking the conditions of his previous release and endangering the life of Nimue Hawkwood. He gets off all these charges and is cleared also of the previous ones that he was imprisoned originally for. Much joy!
The longer version: Opens with a breakfast meeting in the Leaky Caldron between Sirius and Dmitri Georgious. It seems Anders isn't well enough to attend the hearing that is of some concern. Marvo and Nimue join them. Sirius tells them about Anders true parentage - a surprise to Nimue but Marvo of course already knows from Kat. Nimue asks if her father knows and is reassured to hear that he had already accepted Anders before this had come to light - indeed that it was his investigations that had led to this discovery.
Dmitri has some hard questions for Nimue about her testimony - mainly that her relationship with Anders is bound to come out and will lead to his career being over etc. She acknowledges this and says she will stand beside him through it and the like.
Dumbledore and Snape come down and join the gathering and soon afterwards the cars arrive t take them all to the ministry. Randal is also with them, as his testimony may also be needed re the dream-walk experience. As they arrive there one of Branwen's brothers is waiting with some news of the tattoo mark which he gives to Sirius.
The trial begins. There is some discussion as to whether Anders should plead guilty to the charge of endangering a student but Nimue protests this idea and Sirius agrees and so plea of not guilty is also lodged.
The prosecution makes their case based on the fact that there is no counter to the Killing Curse and as Anders is quite 'mad' they move to administer the Dementors' Kiss. They also have some evidence from Rita Skeeter. It is not a strong case apart form the fact there was a dead wizard and that Anders' tale seemed rather fanciful.
This brings us swiftly to the Case for the Defence, which sets out to prove exactly who was killed in the woods, the circumstances of the attack and the like. Sirius Black is revealed as Anders father although the information is requested to remain within the courtroom. Sirius says he will provide a stable environment for Anders upon his release.
Dumbledore is then called to testify. He explains about his investigations into Anders' past and about his being hit with the disruption spell which severed the link with Dayfdd. Also, of their intention to try to draw Dafydd out. Under cross-examination he is forced to admit that due to Anders relationship with Nimue that he will no longer be employed there after this term though the matter will be handled discreetly.
Other forensic evidence was provided including the wands and conclusive proof the dead wizard was Dayfdd Grimalkin and the evidence of the Priori Incantatem upon his wand showed that he had killed before. Then lunch was called. A worrying report is overheard that the Dementors' may be 'hungry' and take the matter of Anders into their own hands.
Lunch is taken at a restaurant across from the Ministry. Georgious upsets Nimue some with his talk of the Dementors and Anders likely condition in Azkaban. Lunch is interrupted by a court official who asks Georgious to come with him. He returns a half hour later with the news that the Conclave of Magical Law is withdrawing the murder charge but is continuing to ascertain whether he is a danger to himself and others and fit for release. He may end up in St. Mungo's even if freed from Azkaban.
In Azkaban the Dementors make their move on Anders and yet he manages to find the inner strength to defy them just at the moment one seeks to perform the Kiss! Morgan has been sent to Azkaban to retrieve Anders and is shocked to find the Dementors have done something. However, he finds Anders very strong and insisting upon going to the Ministry and of seeing Sirius Black straight away.
Sirius meets with Anders and there is an emotional scene between father and son. Anders is angry, confused and upset but they come to recognition of each other and make plans for the future.
Back in the courtroom Nimue gives her testimony outlining the events in the woods in some detail. She is also questioned by Georgious about the nature of her relationship with Anders. He felt obviously that he would pip the opposition to the post on this one! She reveals that now her betrothal to Malcolm Ward has been dissolved that Anders has sought permission to court her once she comes of age.
She also reveals Dafydd's confession of his use of Anders during his school days through a mind-link, of his causing of the accident that ended Anders' Quidditch career and the murder of Anders' mother. She also spoke of Dafydd's intention to frame Anders for her murder by use of his wand for the Killing Curse and how Anders had managed to deflect the curse.
Georgious at this point produced the report prepared by Severus Snape that outlined the manner in which the curse had been deflected. Nimue confirmed this and also added in a few details of Anders' final instructions to her which allowed them to successfully act as conduits.
In questioning her Morgan avoided the incident completely preferring to focus on the relationship between the two young people and the ridiculous of Anders' claim to have been acceptable to Lord Hawkwood as a suitor for her hand in marriage. Lord Hawkwood is asked to answer this and he stuns Morgan by his favourable attitude towards Anders.
At this point the Conclave decides that Morgan is just being silly in face of all and they drop all charges against him including that of causing the death of Olaf Peterssen. Morgan is given an object lesson and asked to tender his resignation. He slinks away.
Nimue is asked to convey the Conclave's decision to Anders and bring him to the Chamber to receive formal notice. She goes to where Anders and Sirius are and there is a joyous reunion. Anders returns to the Hall where the Court is seated and is formally acquitted of all charges will receive a public apology and also informed that the Ministry would be paying him compensation.
He is invited by the Head of the Conclave to speak, which he does with great eloquence giving thanks to those who assisted him. Even Snape shakes his hand. He finally kneels before Lord Hawkwood declaring his devotion to Nimue and intention to keep her from harm. Lord Hawkwood embraces him and then declares they should all retire back to the Leaky Caldron for a meal.
Anders remains slightly dazed that it is all over and falls asleep on the ride back. He is tucked up in bed while the adults talk things out. Nimue convinces Marvo and Randal to accompany her shopping. They see a display of Branwen's grandmothers' books. They all are a little intrigued but don't let the others know of their purchases! Marvo mentions that he and Randal are due at the Ministry in front of Nimue and receives a telling off from Randal for it even if Nimue seems not to pay any attention.
The two boys head of to see Mad Eye Moody with their usual bickering. They report on the Katia situation thought there is anything new to tell Moody. Marvo tells him that he managed to break through Moody's charm while in the woods - or rather more tactfully break through his fail-safe. Moody isn't fooled and yet is convinced to allow Marvo access to his magic again though he still has to remain on the diet set by Mad Eye. A diet Mad Eye worryingly says he has followed for years. The boys return to the Leaky Cauldron.
Transcript 32 - Second Day of Exams - A New Arrival and Assorted Returns (1446-1506) Top of the Index
Opens with morning at the Leaky Caldron. Nimue and Anders hold hands and agree to be good little children. Yet they are still coming to terms with the fact that Anders likely to be leaving. Called coming back to earth with a bump! Anders is non-committal about whether he will join the Hawkwood family on holiday. Sirius comes in and says goodbye as he's heading home to see his wife and hopes to introduce Anders to her soon. Then Lord Hawkwood comes in and gathers them all up including a bickering Marvo and Randal for the trip back to Hogwarts via floo powder.
Students gather for breakfast in the Great Hall. Dumbledore is advised of the arrival of Magnus and Oriana as well as of the prank pulled on Arcadia the day before. Arcadia comes in looking more sheep-like than ever and is very passive at breakfast indeed. Magnus is busy checking out the ladies - I think this is his hobby actually. Bit girl mad!
Dumbledore manages to put Professor McGonagall's back up over the issue of Magnus and the Arcadia prank suggesting that she was unaware of the link between Pan and Arcadia. Privately she was concerned that Shinrei was hiding something from them and relates to him the incident outside the HoM classroom.
Shinrei left Gryffindor the night before and had found a place to brew her potions. It's not a very nice one - I won't go into details of how the potion is completed. However, Randal on his return notes a strange scent in the Hall and finds the room in which she had brewed the potion. He senses that there has been blood and something linked to ravens. He seeks out Branwen to discuss the matter.
Shinrei enters and taking some bread heads out to the lake to meditate and feed the squid unaware that she is the subject of concern between Randal and Branwen. Branwen is to check on her ravens while Randal seeks the hidden room that he suspects is located in the dungeon corridor.
Nimue had returned to find a very excited Kat Black wanting to greet her new found brother. Nimue suggests that she goes off to see him at the DADA classroom where he has gone straight away after returning. Kat takes him tea and toast, which is gratefully received. They talk about their new found status. Anders till coming to terms with it and all.
Dylan arrives at breakfast and is greeted by Nimue. He catches her up on the new arrivals and the like including what had happened to Pan and Arcadia. Nimue had noted the presence of a sheep at the Slytherin table. Marvo comes in and also joins them at the Gryffindor table. They discuss the Arcadia Situation. The three of them troop off to DADA.
Out by the lake Shinrei is joined by Marcus who proves a very understanding person about her situation as well as the . He reveals to her that he is an animagus being that he at times needs to take that form with Nimue. He also talks with her about her goal to become a healer encouraging her on following her calling.
She creates a rainbow falcon for him; it only lasts a minute or two but is very nice. She also muses about trying to get word to Kanjou about having met Sirius and now encountering Marcus, who is an animagus. He escorts her to DADA class and while there suggests to Anders that they go to Hogsmeade after classes for a celebratory drink. Anders agrees.
Niki is called into the Headmaster's office before the DADA exam and receives the news from Dumbledore that her father has died the night before apparently being ill for some time. This was concealed from her. After this she goes for a cry and is found by Dylan who is able to understand as he lost his own father the year before and there had been a delay. He comforts her as best he can. It goes some way towards renewing their friendship.
After lunch Branwen visits Madame Pomfrey about her 'funny turns'. Madame Pomfrey discovers the pendant around her neck and takes it from her. Branwen feels better for it but slightly sad to lose it. Madame Pomfrey gives the pendant to Dumbledore who recognises it as the one taken from Andy Warden in January and stolen the next month before it could be sent to the Ministry with Marvo and Randal. He sent a summons to the two boys.
Cornelius Fudge had written that morning to both Arcadia and Dumbledore. Dumbledore issues a special memo about the Pan allowing him to remain at Arcadia's side. Also advises that lamb and mutton will be off the menu until he is transformed back to wolf shape. Dumbledore is not tempted to 'fix' the situation as he thinks it best Magnus to put his own messes right rather than fuss after him the way the Swedish Minister had.
Randal finds his sister and she tells him what happened though in a very strange way. She has really become a lot more simple with the transformation. He is also finding the sight of Pan rather tempting to his own wolf senses. Pan is without doubt wary of Randal in this mood which only increases the problem. Oriana joins Arcadia and Randal. Arcadia announces to Oriana that she is going to be her friend. At that point the summons from the Headmaster arrives and he has to rush off!
Marvo appears to be following Kat around. She and Fee Munro are looking for Sarah and Branwen for a chat. Kat talks warmly of Magnus and Marvo appears a little jealous. Then Randal then rushes past and of course Marvo receives his summons at the same time so follows him.
Magnus joins the group of Kat, Fee, Arcadia and Oriana as the two other boys leave on their business. Nimue, Dylan and myself also join the group and there is general talk about exams. Fiona meanwhile is finding she has quite a crush on Magnus.
Anders and Marcus meet up at the Quidditch field for their flight to Hogsmeade. Anders borrows Madame Hooch's Nimbus and after an exhilarating practice flight, the boys race to the pub. Marcus shows off by transforming into his falcon from and Peregrines are extremely fast birds!
We meet new student - Piotr Rachinov, who is rather pale and interesting. Well I think so anyway. He is there with his parents who are Russian meeting with Professor McGonagall. There appears to be a lot of tension between Piotr and his parents especially with his father with whom there is a battle of wills. As his father doesn't like Hogwarts, Piotr decides that it is the school for him. Piotr has a skin condition that means he can't cope with sunlight - lack of proper pigment or something. I think he looks very Gothic and neat without having to wear the make-up. The Rachinovs are invited to stay for dinner.
Piotr goes off on a self-guided tour meeting Snape along the way whom he finds perplexing as Snape rather dismisses his high-handed manner. Snape is good at that sort of thing. Piotr then goes to the Owlery where I am afraid something yucky takes place.
Back in the Hallway, Magnus apologises to Arcadia and ask if she wants Pan turned back. She says 'yes' and then he announces he'll do it next Thursday and takes a picture of her and Pan! The girls decide that this is quite mean of Magnus and that the joke has gone far enough. Nimue points out that he is now just being cruel; both Kat and Oriana agree.
The Peeves attacks us die to his desire to grab the 10,000 post! We are pelted with pieces of chalk. Shinrei who has been in the shadows watching decides to save the day again by zapping Peeves who just laughs in her face, taunts her and moved off. She steps back to the shadows and bumps into Piotr who introduces himself has some questions for her.
The rest of us dust ourselves off and Magnus tells Nimue something of his background before they are distracted by the need to decide about Arcadia. The consensus appears to be to change her back. Before he does Piotr comes by and lures me away with more questions including about why Shinrei had blood on her robes. I can hardly wait to tell Branwen! I also have some questions of my own and we spend a pleasant time though I am pretty convinced he fancies Shinrei because of all the questions. His mother interrupts us though and tells him it is time for them to join Prof. McG for dinner. He departs but not before kissing my hand and the little devil grazed it with his teeth. I can'r begin to say what that did for me. Wow! I must keep my feet on the ground though.
Back in the Hall Magnus undertakes the Untransfiguration of Pan. He gets thrown backwards from the blast but is helped by a group for the girls there - Kat, Fee and Oriana. Arcadia now back to proper self goes up and slaps him hard - very hard and tells him that 'your time will come Magnus'. Not a good heath report for Magnus then.
Nimue and Dylan stay off to one side and are joined by Branwen. They speculate on the situation with Arcadia. Branwen is still a little skittish around Dylan after their kiss. Bran goes off followed by Nimue who plants a kiss on Dylan's cheek before she leaves.
In the Headmaster's Office Randal and Marvo are shown the recovered pendant. The boys are delighted. The matter of what happened to Andy warden is raised and Marco makes the suggestion is made that a spell be done to ascertain Andy's whereabouts. Randal suggests an identification spell to see of the pendant still contain Asriel or if there is anyone trapped inside. Both boys' ideas have merit and Dumbledore asks Randal to go first. He casts his spell and a misty image appears.
Approaching Hogwarts is a young man who has been away for three years - indeed had disappeared without trace. Would they take him back he wondered as he mounted the steps!
